Hello, thanks for your curiosity about my comics. I'm an airline pilot who simply began drawing cartoons. Coffee & Pretzels is meant to poke fun at all the characters who inhabit the airline industry. Sometimes I will stray into other topics, but as the old adage goes, "write what you know", so this is the world I know.
Yes, I draw and write all my stuff. I pencil in the initial image and then pen-and-ink the final picture using white-out as necessary too. I then scan it into my computer and build the cartoon box with Microsoft Paint. You would be amused at how simple the process is. As this website is a work in progress, you will see changes periodically, especially how I organize the older cartoons. But for now it's simply by year. I am also working on consolidating all the cartoons into a book and publishing some of the cartoons that didn't make the cut. I live in the Southwest with my patient, beautiful wife who acts as my editor, our delightful and mischievous twin daughters and three cats, long story. I'll see ya'll out on the line. Cheers, GK |
